A Modern Summer Wedding at Deer Park Country House, Devon

Lucy & Silviu’s wedding at Deer Park Country House was modern, elegant and stylish…

If you’re planning to get married in the English countryside during the summertime then I highly recommend you have a look at Deer Park Country House in Devon at the end of May or early June. It’s such a beautiful time of year with the wisteria aisle in full bloom (I wish you could smell the flowers through these photos, it was incredible!) and loads of rhododendrons adding pops of colour to the grounds.

Inspired by old Hollywood, the styling for Lucy & Silviu’s wedding day was beautiful. The colour scheme contrasted dusty pink bridesmaids dresses with maroon red ties, with plenty of fresh roses and candlelight. This super stylish couple said their hand written vows in the most beautiful setting at the summer house surrounded by their family and friends. It was followed by drinks in the Italian Garden’s and the Wedding Breakfast in the Orangery.

Later in the day I captured some photos of the Bride and Groom in a few of my favourite spots at Deer Park Country House and couldn’t resist revisiting the wisteria aisle for this! We were lucky enough to have a beautiful golden hour and we even played around with some flash photography for an editorial look. There were a few Romanian traditions held throughout the day, and I really enjoyed seeing these incorporated in the speeches and dancing at the end of the night!
