A Stylish Autumn Wedding at Deer Park Country House
Lara & Ben’s September wedding at Deer Park was modern, luxurious and lots of fun…
September is such a special time of year to get married. You’re still able to enjoy the blooming gardens and slightly longer evenings from the summer, but the crisp mornings and changing leaves of autumn are starting to creep in. Deer Park Country House in Devon was looking beautiful and it was wonderful to capture Lara & Ben’s day there.
We started the day with Bridal preparations in the Playhouse and Groom preparations in The Shed. After a rainy week, our lovely couple were blessed with dry skies and sunshine which allowed them to have the outdoor ceremony they had been hoping for! The Summer House looked incredible with an aisle overflowing with wildflowers, and a string quartet played as our Bride walked down the aisle. Hand written vows were followed by a flurry of confetti and champagne in the Italian Garden.
The Orangery is such a stunning wedding breakfast space at Deer Park Country House and was styled beautifully with luxurious florals by Miranda Hackett and fairy lights. Lara & Ben had chosen whites, dusty pinks and neutral tones, with contrasting black touches for a super modern and elegant look. After speeches and food we wandered to the Walled Garden for some photos of the newlyweds. It’s where Deer Park grow all of their fresh fruit, veg and flowers and is one of my favourite spots for Bride & Groom portraits. They finished the night with a huge doughnut tower and lots of dancing!
